Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration engaged Mahan Rykiel to design a median fence and additional pedestrian safety improvements on MD 528 (Coastal Highway) in Ocean City, Md to help reduce pedestrian accidents caused by mid-block crossings. 

Woodrow Wilson Bridge

The Woodrow Wilson Bridge is the only Potomac River crossing in the southern half of the Washington, DC region. Designated as both I-495 and I-95, this heavily traveled bridge plays a significant role in the regional transportation system and will be one of the most complex urban transportation improvement projects in the nation.
