Located near historic Mystic, Connecticut, on a 32 acre former farm property, this Continuing Care Retirement Community occupies the crest of a gently sloping hill. The facility provides 250 independent living units, 24 assisted living units, and 50 skilled nursing beds.
In the planning of this community, MRA paid special attention to the design vocabulary of the surrounding New England landscape. Historic stone walls within the site are maintained and enhanced as integral elements of the site development.
The landscape plan creates a variety of courtyards and intimate outdoor spaces while enhancing views to the adjacent conservation area. Extensive walking paths around the periphery of the buildings provide ample opportunity for residents to enjoy this natural landscape. Residents have access to smaller, more formal courtyards within the buildings.
