The former location of a McCrory’s store, this urban site was transformed into a pocket park at the same time the Historic Baldwin Hotel was receiving an addition and being renovated to create a satellite campus for the University of Maryland.
The convention center hotel occupies a full city block on Pratt Street, Baltimore’s premier downtown and waterfront address. It overlooks Camden Yards, home to the Baltimore Orioles.
Wyman Park Dell, a 16-acre historic park, is one of the few parks in Baltimore fully conceived and designed by the Olmsted Brothers. The park is a significant resource for the surrounding neighborhood, institutions such as the Baltimore Museum of Art and Johns Hopkins University as well as for the City residents.
