Twinbrook Quarter aims to transform a 17 acre strip shopping center into a mixed use, transit oriented development. The 17-acre site is strategically located along Rockville Pike and within a 5-minute walk to the Twinbrook Metro Station. The development vision includes 175,000sf of retail, 200,000sf of office and over 1,400 new residential units. Working with the architect, Mahan Rykiel was charged with designing the streetscape and public realm plazas, as well as the perimeter of the entire center for the East and North Promenades. MRA is also designing the hardscape and planting design for five terraces and the pool area.
