The new Kalamazoo Country Club will provide an exceptional private club experience, rooted in the club’s community centric and sustainable mission. Buildings are sited delicately on the rolling landscape, and provide views towards Whites Lake and the new 18 hole champion golf course. The overall design intent gives thoughtful nods to Kalamazoo’s natural landscape and locally sourced materials. Mahan Rykiel collaborated with the client, architect and a team of consultants on the Master Plan and is now engaged in construction documentation. The project includes a new clubhouse, family center and various auxiliary buildings, court games, lake access, paths, multiple pools for various age groups, flexible event space, nature play areas, an amphitheater, and a new executive golf course. The Club’s proposed program and site amenities have been carefully planned to create memorable experiences for the club members, with an emphasis on the natural environment.
