Located in Montgomery County, the library is undergoing an extensive renovation and expansion. The facility is currently the busiest in the Regional Library system and services 700,000 visits per year.
The landscape plan includes renovation of the entire site, but focuses especially on the entrance area of the expanded library. A number of mature shade trees were identified and protected for incorporation into the new plan. The entrance includes a pedestrian book drop and new garden which is visible through a glass curtain wall in the library lobby. This garden provides visitors with a welcoming green space for small group reading programs and includes new furniture, special paving and lush plantings.
