MRA provided a leadership role, as part of an international design team, providing development programming, master planning and site design for this 17-mile-long island off the coast of Kuwait. The strategy would completely transform this uninhabited island into a major destination resort. Seven distinctive destination projects were designed using the latest techniques in sustainable design and development.
Salt water river systems dominated the conceptual approach, providing multiple recreation opportunities, a unique transportation system and extensive restoration of the once abundant bird habitat.
