Biography

Yuming holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from National Chiayi University, and has also studied Urban Planning at National Cheng Kung University. After gaining several years of experience in design and construction in Taiwan as a landscape designer and construction management associate, Yuming pursued further studies abroad and obtained a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from The Ohio State University. While at OSU, he was awarded the 2022 Ohio Chapter ASLA Student Honor Award.

With a passion for landscape design that spans different cultures and regions, Yuming has worked on projects in Taiwan, the United States, and Canada. At OSU, he served as a teaching associate, leading courses on media that introduced physical drawings and digital visualization using various programs. He is particularly interested in combining landscape architecture with digital fabrication to optimize ecological benefits.

Yuming’s design approach is grounded in environmental and territorial analysis using GIS, and extends to materiality and temporality implementation. He strives to integrate and interpret the future of human and nature, and his work reflects a deep understanding of the interplay between the built and natural environments.
